Instant Pot Basmati Rice

Make basmati rice in the Instant Pot for a stress free side ready in less than 20 minutes. It is so easy, you will never want to use "instant rice" again.

Equipment

  • 1 Instant Pot (You can use another type of pressure cooker if you prefer.)

Ingredients

  • 1 cup basmati rice
  • 1 cup water

Instructions

  • Pour the water into the Instant Pot's inner pot and then add the rice.
  • Place the lid on the Instant Pot, rotating it slightly to put it in place.
  • Make sure the vent is turned to "sealing" and then set the pressure to high with a 6 minute cook time.
  • After it finished cooking, allow the Instant Pot to naturally release pressure for 10 minutes.
  • Fluff with a fork before serving with your favorite main dishes and other sides.
