- 6 Italian sausages
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 white or yellow onion
- 1 green pepper
- 1 red  pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon salt and pepper
- 6 steak rolls
- Slice the peppers and onions into thin slices and place in a large mixing bowl. 
- Pour in the olive oil and add salt and pepper to taste. 
- Toss the olive oil with the peppers and onions until evenly coated. 
- Spread the peppers and onions over the bottom of the air fryer basket, forming an even layer where they are not fully stacked on each other. 
- Place the sausage in the air fryer basket so they are not touching. 
- Set your air fryer to 400 degrees and to cook for 15 minutes. At the halfway mark, flip the sausages. 
- Remove the basket and place peppers and onions into steak rolls. Place a single sausage in each roll on top of the peppers and onions. 
- Serve with your favorite condiments and sides.
